Get happy! School's My Happy Place poetry party links England - and Nigeria

Children from Lily Lane primary school in Moston, Manchester, shared another of their poetry parties online with other children from schools in the north-west of England, in Oxfordshire, south-west London, and in Nigeria on Thursday.

The My Happy Place poetry party, compered by Lily Lane’s poet-in-residence Louise Fazackerley, pictured, included poetry written by pupils themselves, singing, and dancing, and enabled live participation by the other schools via a special Zoom Room.

Louise explained the event was aimed at helping to get rid of stress, and at planting “ideas like seeds”. It finished with pupils from all the schools dancing live to the Happy song. You can watch the My Happy Place poetry party here
