Another day in lockdown
another milestone passed today
Fifteen million vaccinations
in just ten weeks to this day

When my turn comes around
I would pay for my vaccination
How much would be considered
a reasonable donation

How much would I ever pay
to keep my loved ones safe and well
One pound or two, five or ten
maybe a hundred who could tell

I wonder if there are others
thinking similar thoughts as me
I wonder how much could be raised
to benefit NHS charity

where people can make a donation
To contribute to the NHS
in exchange for their vaccination
