Virus Blues 'We didn't go and run away somewhere'

We didn't go and run away somewhere
just the way we should,
symptoms closer
faster than ever now,
leaking fevered intimate despair.

the grunting of that typical class
deafens the squealing of the sores,
the requiem of the virus boys
stifles the digested stagnant snores.

They done gone and stolen smiles,
every which way and that.
The glass is smeared
on the outside,
while we peep in single file.

Flatulent words seep from that typical bent
spouting inanimate gaseous norms,
while elders wait to be abrogated
hideous intent conformed.
