Lockdown has been a tough time for everyone,

But horse owners are not having much fun.

Extra walkers out and about,

Feeling the need  to feed a horse that's out.

 

When you see one looking at you in a field,

Don't let your animal compassion yield.

They may look at you as if in need,

But please please,don't feed.

 

Equine metabolic syndrome horse owners dread,

Feeding  them  carrots, they could end up dead.

A bit like diabetes in a human being,

A sugary gift could see them reeling.

 

When you see some horses that look in need,

Give them a stroke but please don't feed.
