Schools should be shut ,

For infections  to be cut.

Schools are a major contributor to the spread,

A hype in September on their return ,I did dread.

 

Disaster struck straight away,

Schools must close to make lockdown pay.

Keeping schools open definitely will,

Lead to a longer lockdown still.

 

Schools have to be shut to avoid disaster,

Please don't let covid become our new master.

The progress of our children can be put down a gear,

But deaths in our communities can't be put back, I do fear.

 

Transmissions in schools and colleges are high,

A disaster, on the horizon ,unresolved is nigh.

An engine for virus transmission in our education system is out there,

Solving the health and safety of our population we must share.

 

Schools should be kept open for keyworkers in the N.H.S.

Who sacrifice everything to clear up the mess.

A plea to our government I do make,

Don't dither and delay,close schools ,for God Sake !!!!
