"Lupine"

entry picture

Indeed, there is a beast beneath the flesh -
undressed, voracious, keen in sense;
eager to shake and stake the mind,
eager to unbind fear from spine.

I am an animal - lupine in spirit.
My heart waxes rhapsodic
behind curtains of silence.
You don't hear it.

Make no mistake -
a beacon I need not; no reins.
I light my own candles;
my own path, I stave.

By the Moon and stars,
this truth always gave -
it is but the taste
of hearts I crave.
