I want to go back into lockdown

I liked it, living there

I could sit at home all day

without much of a care

 

I don't like this halfway in or out

it is filling me with worry

I seem to be getting nowhere fast

nothing gets done in a hurry

 

I have so many questions

I want and need to ask

No one answers my calls

it's a nightmare of a task

 

Phone calls last for hours, excuses,

I have heard them all

Wait patiently in the queue, “sorry,

we are busy on other calls”

 

I have listened to so much music

the tunes still ring in my ears

If I get put on hold one more time

I think I will burst into tears

 

I want to go back into lockdown

I felt safe there and secure

Please can I go back into lockdown

until they find a virus cure
