Untitled 8

tender is the night that is full of mourning
crickets chirp and parrots stir in dawning
but rewind a few hours and all is at peace
dark nights full of stars naked eyes can't see
far in the distance, the moon is staring down
melancholic gaze, a nostalgic frown
yellow are the stars, that shine for you
sleeping through the bliss, if you only knew
the streets are empty, full of debris
and paper is blown wistfully
tender is the man that loses innocence
all choked up at the moons oblivious existence
it sits there taking light when the sun sets
it cant shine on its own, it only reflects
but the sun and the moon can never meet
like the light in our lives we can never see
we touch each other without even knowing
chemicals ablaze with purpose, blowing
ripping through the skies to find their destination
human contact, a satisfying revelation
comforting each other, mental elevation.

tender is the night that comfort the stars
who cares where you're going
when all there is, is where you are?
