Dark Side 1

A hero, she said.

I love you mother.

He is the chosen one, they said

That summer.

Intelligence in his genes,

We will take him

To be a master

To save the world.

20 years apart

I heard I lost my mother,

Indeed I had a vision

The sacrifice,

For me to be a master.

I wish I was greater.

More powerful

Than the greatest rulers.

To heal the hurt

To save the loved.

Still on the good side,

The sacrifice I made

To be a master,

My aspirations began to conflict

When I saw vision

Of loosing another.

Sacrifice is a predominant theme in this poem. Although this is quite lacking in our world, but wherever it is found; it is well appreciate. I hope it is, because the speaker seems to be a junction of regret and regard.
