Right on Graham. I think one of the earliest examples was Islington and Hampstead. The only difference now is that places like Battersea have become upmarket, unknown in my parents day.

You're right there Ray. Interestingly the rich then did the same as the rich have done now, flooded out to the countryside (in those days Essex) these days (The Cotswolds).

It seems they didn't heed the message of self isolation either.

This was apparently conceived as a result of plague in the UK.
