Biography

Winston Joy is a musician, poet, screenwriter, photographer, but most importantly, a storyteller. Based in Los Angeles, California, US, Winston Joy has an often confrontational, confessional style of poetry that lights a fire of immediacy. His father was a journalist. Winston started writing prose in high school, experimented with playwrighting in college, and has been writing screenplays in his 20s and 30s. He started writing poetry earnestly during the pandemic; in the isolation of that momentum year he turned inward and started to this very visceral medium. Winston Joy hopes to continue to grow as a poet and share more of his work in poetry universe.
