Biography

Hello I'm Lee, I've been write writing poetry for around 25 years and write mainly in couplet and free verse. I've recently started writing silly poems for children which have been very well received by readers on my Facebook page (The Yorkshire Poet). I like to write about a range of subjects and hope one day to release a book. I'm from York originally but now live in Glasshoughton near Castleford with my Fiancee Sarah.

The Hippo's Dance

A Hippo danced in his underpants while a Monkey Ironed his socks, a big friendly Tiger got scared by a Spider who sat fixing one of his clocks, he said 'see you later' to a pink Alligator who baked him a cake for his tea, and gave a blue carrot to a very tall Parrot, who got himself stuck up a tree, a cow went 'quack' as he laid on his back eating ice cream with a spoon, and a hyena laughed at a skating Giraffe, then they all danced around in the room.
