Biography

I write my feelings out when there's no one I can express them to. Sometimes writing it out doesn't feel like enough, or maybe I want to be heard. Either way, I'm hoping this can be where I toss my thoughts into the void when they fall in pleasing lines.

The World Is A Place

The world is a scary place As I run just a bit faster On the gym track because Some guys ended up behind me But I don’t tell my brother that The world is a scary place As I view every person bigger than me -which is most- as a threat and That’s why I stay so lovely and quiet But I don’t tell my parents that The world is a scary place As I drive 30 below the limit And hope each dark turn has No headlights shining through the rain But I don’t tell my boyfriend that The world is a scary place As I smile through the pain I pretend like those actions didn’t wreck like I’m not falling apart all over again But I don’t tell my friends that The world is a scary place As I learn from a team how to erase The potential for environmental disaster At a quarter from a century-old plant But I don’t tell my sister that The world is a beautiful place As I greet a child with a smile And tell them stories of a sunrise With laughter and bright eyes This I do say aloud
