My first published poem (at age 8 in Cricket magazine), so, er, a few years ago... Back at poetry after a long hiatus. The Dark Woods The dark woods are scary, silly and creepy The great scent of pine makes you smiley and sleepy Shadows show up in the moonlit sky Angels with harps go floating by A falling star to make a wish You sing a song in a perfect pitch Waterfalls dance to their own special tune You feel as though you could reach the moon.
