The Works' Canteen takes place on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Acknowledging the industrial nature of the venue, April's non-compulsory theme is 'Fool Steam Ahead'. Hosted by the museum's poet-in-residence and Radio Wildfire presenter Dave Reeves, there is an open mic session and guest poets/ storytellers.
