Where can I find listings for online poetry events (Zoom etc)?
Hi everyone,
I am new to the site and would love to see you all perform,
but find negotiating sites to get the information I need really difficult.
How can I find out about online poetry events?
Raoul ?

A good question, Raoul. We at Write Out Loud are looking at ways of setting up an online events guide, but haven't quite got there yet. One problem is that security is paramount - you can't share log-in details on public sites for fear of being invaded by trolls. But we do want to help, and would welcome the views of online poetry event organisers in this regard. One thing I can offer you is a link to Write Out Loud Woking on YouTube, where you can find a few readings from our most recent meeting that was held via Zoom (more will be posted tomorrow). https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8oMLqjVdD9oPcZdpfz0c3hD0L1rUkMlO

Most of the ones I've been finding out about have been through facebook or word of mouth, Raoul.
It's a interesting question that one, Greg and because of the bits of trolling I've seen you have to be so careful.
I do the I.T. for one of the Write Out Loud groups which i won't name which is being kept as a private group.
I co-run one called Speak Easy which we run via Zoom through the speak easy page and do it via Zoom with a live feed through facebook and later youtube. WIth Speak Easy, there is a host and me and my partner do the I.T. and watch out for any possible problems in the background. Not come across any but we keep a eye on that.
Our last few events are here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJqydPA0lG0&list=PLQ2XfOogTGj0xqE3duiQhHLNRZ0uS5ZvI

Thanks Andy and Greg for your wonderful advice.
The performative element of poetry is the bit I miss most at the moment.?

Andy,
I can't find the Speak Easy page on FB. The Youtube sessions you streamed look good fun.

Greg,
Is there any way I can get involved even though I am from Leicester not Woking?

Location is no bar, Raoul, not now on Zoom. We're looking fairly full up for reading slots for this month at Woking, but you'd be very welcome to come along as audience, to try us out, as it were. Am I right in thinking that you're based in Spain at the moment? Have you been involved in any open-mic out there?
