Poetry On The Move! Share your comments.

I passed through Deansgate Station two weeks ago and was stopped dead in my tracks by a huge poster with a short poem featured on it. I read the poem, reacted WOW! and then realized it was written by Nabila. (The scary thing was: I had been thinking about her only the day before.) These poetry posters are marvellous. Congratulations to everyone involved, and maybe especially to Mr Garside for his dual talents of art and poetry.

Good pick-up; I'm notorious for leaving a comment so wide open you could drive a double-decker bus through! I frequently send my family and friends into stitches of laughter. BUT, playing along here, you do realize ancient medicine premised that all problems - physical, emotional and mental - evolved from the bowels. Not dead sure they were so wrong. No reason why poetry couldn't have its source in gut/Gott feeling!

That could leave all us poets guilty of 'spouting shit' Cynthia - but I'm loving the course of this thread - me and toilet humour - it always gets the better of me! Interesting what you should say about the bowels - I guess feeling unwell in any part of the body, has its knock-on effects mentally. How lucky are we to have our health? One of my brothers is graduating in herbal medicine and just propounded the theory to me that elasticity of the skin was fundamental to the health of internal organs also. Following his theory, if you are aging well on the outside, you are also doing well inside. Co-incidentally he happens to have the most glorious skin imaginable for a man of his age - and hair that stubbornly refuses to go grey. Perhaps he'd think differently, otherwise...
