Jeff Dawsons 'Half evil' Blue Boar MAY 2009

Thanks very much to Jeffs Poetry and Acoustic night at Blue Boar.
Jeff put a lot of passion and charisma into this event and produced a superb atmosphere.
Great selection of poets and musicians, good turn out and a nice buzzing little pub the boar is.

could not really ask for more, its very refreshing to see some excited and enthusiastic about Live music and Poetry like Jeff is.

I hope Jeff will continue harnessing this force. We need it. Very difficult to keep poetry nights fresh and continuously fully attended, so im wishing Jeffs nights all the success.

Sophia and Mia read exceptional work.
Andy entertained with poetic keyboard cabaret (sounds like a soft cell album)
Antonioni did the business as did hardcore performer Gordon Z, though I would like to hear more of Gordons catalogue please.

and not forgetting the great Guitarists and Singers who I'm hoping someone will tell us more about on this thread, the whole pub was singing along to them.

What would I add? Not much, just hope it expands, or the concept is taken further afield , maybe a stage area. Not all the pub can see what's going on, so if it gets more popular people may struggle in the Boar. Where is the perfect venue? Difficult one.

Watch out for the faulty drain at the back of the boar too! needs a repair.!

Yeah - I really enjoyed the night! I totally agree with pretty well everything Pete listed.

As for 'Soft Cell' - I hadn't thought off that, but it does kinda make sense. Yeah, I agree we are a Cabaret duo... Lots I coud say about us, but I'll just say check us out! We have lots on the go!
