VISIBLE WALLS
High walls, shielded by glass panes
Sharp suits worn by the wealthy elite
Fresh air, sealed within concrete rooms
Elegant words, spoken with intellect and grace
From below,we gaze upward, watching as planes soar
Feeling small, consumed by uninvited jealousy
Hands up, shielding from the relentless sun above
Dreaming of roofs over our heads.
How absurd, how outdated...
