Where the sun still rises and the winds still blow.
They came one night, from the turpentine
they stole our lives and rejoiced with wine!
They were the victors, at least for now
and we were so young, didn't know not how.
I would love to be you, to understand;
what a pregnancy feels like, or giving birth.
Maybe just for once, or a numbered times.
But I won't change gender, that's against my worth!
