Raw eggs
I tried beautiful,
I tried pristine,
I was no good at it
Iβm not neat within
Iβm not βcleanβ
Even externally, I cannot master
Clearing every bit of clutter
Iβm raw, like an egg
Itβs not pretty to have a cracked head
But if I donβt
Iβm practically dead
As inanimate and detached as my wooden bed
To be raw is
Painful,
Ugly,
Messy,
But itβs rich with fee...

Bigger than you
You should know better
Than to think youβre alone in this universe
Youβve seen breath come from nothing
Animals evolve
More complex than fathomable
Human species shapeshift and roam
With inventions inexplicable
Grass, water, and life itself
Come to be
And people like you
Who all think different
And think theyβre the only ones
Donβt assume youβre not connect...

Part of us
Something speaks from beyond
Something writhes alive
In each of us
Something pulls and breathes
Beyond our touch

Youβre right
3 years ago, I viewed frogs as aliens
Now I wonder whether theyβre angels
Months ago, I hated the sound of songbirds
Now I write their songs

Even if it no longer is
Whatever I am
I still am what I was
Even if I no longer am
Youβre right
I was right and now Iβm left
But the person I was hasn...

World's end
Suffocating under the rhythm of your heart beat
Like drowning beneath a sea of thumping marbles.
You are the ball pit, the sand pit, without end β falling!
But who can ever stand when they are - head β over β heels β for someone β
Yes!
And you pulled me in like a rip tide, a whirl wind, a sinking pool,
Wrapped me up like pig in blanket with your tangled hair
And the salt of it...

When the World is Not Enough
You pick up the trees and you wave them like fans
But her face continues to sweat.
You unravel the ground and you drain it of soil
But her stomach never rounds,
Her mouth remains open.
You bottle up the ocean till all water is extinct
Yet she continues to faint of thirst.
You take life from the earth,
You remove breath from the world
And she continues to perform still bi...
