Poem History - Compare | Write Out Loud

Version: 1

Amy

The day I first met Amy
She was just a few hours old
Dressed in a tiny pink Babygro
With a teddy bear in gold.

Amy was born in February
So there was quite a chill
I wrapped her in a blanket
Didn’t want her to get ill.

She was such a lovely baby
Me, her devoted Gran
Her brother Zak was mesmerised
At the sight of her tiny hand.

The feeling was so wonderful
But home I had to go
Such a beautiful granddaughter
I’ll always love her so.
