The Word's a Stage
Theatre has scratch. Comedy has new-material nights. Spoken word has The Word’s A Stage! Spoken-word theatre is exploding in popularity across the country, with national tours and huge hits at the Edinburgh Fringe.
We take four exciting poets and challenge them to take it up a notch by each writing a new 20 minute piece. Their work is then served up fresh on stage at Bethnal Green’s perfectly organic Gallery Café.
Mentored by Malika Booker, our poets are: Laurie Bolger, Mark ‘Mr T’ Thompson, Tolu Agbelusi and Kyrill Potapov.
