JibbaJabba and Take... are exploding into the New Year with a spectacular Spoken Word Slam at The Cumberland Arms!!
***WARNING*** This is NOT a poetry slam, THIS IS SPOKEN WORD!
Of course, poetry is going to be part of it, but all spoken word artists are welcome to slam!
Comedy, monologues, poetry, short stories, sketches... in fact anything word based is welcome, so long as it fits into the following rules -
NO PROPS
NO MUSIC (including singing)
ORIGINAL MATERIAL
NO LONGER THAN 3 MINUTES
There'll be 4 rounds, so you'll need 5 x 3 min pieces to enter (the extra one's in case of a tie-break situation).
Slammers will all be judged based on the following criteria -
QUALITY OF WRITING
QUALITY OF PERFORMANCE
AUDIENCE RESPONSE
As well as the SLAM WINNER'S TITLE, there's also a CASH PRIZE up for grabs!!
