Rona Laycock was born in Bangor, north Wales but has lived and travelled in many countries, all of which have influenced her writing. She runs creative writing courses, workshops and literary events, and her poetry and autobiographical writing has been widely published. Haiku and haibun formed a significant part of her PhD project at Swansea University, where she also studied for a creative writing MA. She is the editor of writing magazine, Graffiti, and her poetry collection, Borderlands, was published in the form of an audio CD in 2009.
