An exciting new spoken word night in there's-no-place-like-Tod.
Guest poets & performers plus a warm and friendly open mic spot open to all! Hosted by poet, writer and performer Emma Decent.
Every 2nd Tues of the month (except July & August)
First come first served for the open mic, bring your 4 mins!

Bramsche is Tod's wonderful newly re-opened cafe bar, centrally located near the station and buses. www.bramsche.co.uk. Magic Words is currently taking place downstairs which is sadly not wheelchair accessible but is near the loos!

Guests for June
- 'The Immaculate Conceptions' - award-winning writers in their own right - Clare Shaw and Char March - celebrating the unique lesbian relationship with mothering. Expect laughter, tears and punch.
- Plus the totally marvellous Steve O'Connor - who having made the controversial journey from Manchester (Lancs) to Leeds (Yorks) has found the perfect poetry night to stop halfway here in border town Tod! An inspiration.
Get there early to get a seat and get on the open mic list - limited places!
Magic Words is now taking place on the ground floor which is level in at street level however the toilets are down a flight of stairs and unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Email for more info.

And so, in my 6 years in the Calder Valley possibly the bast attended poetry night I have been to. Well organised and with a variety and quality of open mics and guests (oh yes, I was one of them, guess I was the variety part) Win x
