Geraldine Monk was born in Blackburn, Lancashire in 1952 and is one of the most exciting and provocative writer-performers on the British poetry scene. Since first being published in the 1970s her highly prolific career has included the publication of six major collections of poetry, including Selected Poems (2003), The Salt Companion to Geraldine Monk (2007), Ghost and Other Sonnets (2010) as well as numerous highly acclaimed chapbooks. Since the late 1970s her poetry has been published in many anthologies, most recently appearing in the Anthology of 20th Century British and Irish Poetry (ed Keith Tuma, American Oxford). Her writing has appeared extensively in both the UK and the USA. As an extension to her activities in poetry she collaborates with many musicians including Martin Archer, Charlie Collins and Julie Tippetts.

Come along for a superb evening of wine and poetry.
