As part of Poetry Can's ongoing work with young poets in Bristol and the surrounding area, James Bunting will be hosting this monthly night to showcase some of the best and most promising in young talent.
Poetry Can will be talent spotting at this and the Feb & Mar events, looking for 8 - 12 young people to take part in a Young People's Slam in the Bristol Spring Poetry Festival (April) 2012 at the Arnolfini.
The top five scoring slammers, plus reserves, will go on to represent Bristol in a young peoples slam event in the Bristol Poetry Festival, in September.
Both slams to be hosted during the Festivals by Tim Gibbard.
There are just 10 open mic slots, so arrive early to avoid disappointment. We start at 6.30pm sharp, don't be late!
