The Word House is a brand new spoken word night in the heart of East London.

Every other month we will be showcasing three exceptional poets from the live literature circuit and offering Open Mic slots for anybody who wants to share their work.

In the capable hands of our resident poet Dan Simpson, and with original music mixed by the incredible DJ Able, there is no reason to miss out. Books and CDs also available for sale on the night.

This time round -

ZENA EDWARDS: The Guardian describes Zena Edwards as “truly extraordinary”, known to be one of the most unique voices of performance poetry to come out of London.

RAYMOND ANTROBUS: is a spoken word artist, photographer, poet and writer. He delivers thoughtful, cutting-edge and open interpretations of life, describing himself as a "confessional poet".

DAVE FLOREZ: is a fresh face in the spoken word scene, swiftly establishing himself as an extremely funny poet with impeccable delivery.
He writes grotesque lyrical ballads and fanciful fairytales on age-old themes of thwarted love, broken dreams and estate agency.

OPEN MIC: All styles welcome. Arrive early and sign up on the door for a 3-minute slot or email thewordhousepoetry@gmail.com to reserve a spot.

Entry: £5/4 concessions, open mic

Time: 7:30pm
