Brian Turner is a multi-award winning soldier-poet who followed up his debut, Here, Bullet, with the T.S. Eliot-shortlisted Phantom Noise. Turner served seven years in the US Army, to include one year in Iraq. Here, Bullet is a harrowing, first-hand account of the Iraq War, and in Phantom Noise, he pumps up the volume as he faces and tries to deal with the traumatic aftermath.
