Celebrating 25 years of 'The Rialto', a rare opportunity to enjoy two of the most highly-respected English-language poets of our time; poets whose work is accessible, passionate and speaks to the heart.

Australian poet, Les Murray, and former Poet Laureate, Andrew Motion, will be celebrating 25 years of The Rialto, introduced by Michael Mackmin -- the editor and one of the founders of the magazine.

Les Murray is one of the world’s most highly-regarded living writers, and a holder of the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry. Poet, memoirist, biographer and former UEA Creative Writing Professor, Andrew Motion, transformed the role of Poet Laureate before handing over to Carol Ann Duffy last year.

With readings, discussion and questions from the floor, the evening will leave you feeling enlightened, entertained, and proud of Norfolk’s contribution to the international poetry stage.

Also the Norwich launch party for The Rialto's 25th Anniversary issue, which includes work from Les Murray, Andrew Motion, Carol Ann Duffy, Tomaž Šalamun, George Szirtes, and the first of a much-anticipated, two-part feature on younger poets by Nathan Hamilton. Copies of the magazine will be on sale, along with special back-issue offers and a selection of other titles.
