A dynamic journey through the streets of Johannesburg, Leeds, London & Capetown. 10 poets from SA & the UK bring a unique one off performance full of rich soul stirring song & explosive lyrical injection.
From the UK, curator Zena Edwards features alongside Khadijah Ibrahiim, Kayo Chingonyi, Dzifa Benson & Avaes Mohammad. From South Africa, featured poets are Mpho ya Badimo, Naima Mclean, Mbali Vilakazi, Masana Mulaudzi & Bulelwa Basse.
Verbalized is a unique collaboration between 10 inspirational & exciting performance poets, part of the British Council's New Work New Audiences, a long term cultural exchange program.
