In 'Hall One'

Colette Bryce, Daljit Nagra and Jo Shapcott have worked with 'Jaybird', a director and designers to build a brand new live literature show. It's based on poems they've written in the 'I' voice, the one which poets use to play with ideas about autobiography and selfhood.

Colette Bryce was born in Derry and has lived in England, Spain and Scotland. Her first collection, The Heel of Bernadette (2000), won the Aldeburgh Prize for best first collection and the inaugural Eithne Strong award in Ireland. She was also awarded fi rst prize in the 2003 National Poetry Competition. The Full Indian Rope Trick was published in 2004, Self Portrait in the Dark in 2008.

Daljit Nagra was born and raised in West London, then Sheffield, and currently lives in Willesden where he works in a secondary school. Look We Have Coming to Dover! won the Forward Prize for Best Individual Poem in 2004, and is the title poem of his first collection which was published in 2007 by Faber.

Jo Shapcott was born in London. She has won a number of literary prizes including the Commonwealth Prize for Best First Collection, the Forward Prize for Best Collection and the National Poetry Competition - twice. Her collected poems - Her Book: Poems 1988-98 - was published in 2000, and a new collection Of Mutability - is forthcoming. She teaches on the MA in Creative Writing at Royal Holloway University of London.
