Translated from the Finnish, saari, nimetön luoto Mike Horwood’s aim when translating these poems has been to remain as faithful to the content and meaning of the original poems as possible –sharp, lucid and layered images that seem deceptively simple.
Barbara Dordi shows us that she stands lightly on the soft and fragile ground between visual art and the written word. A finely judged and long awaited first collection.
Jan Fortune-Wood’s novelised sequence of prose poems reveal a drama that is as tragi-comic as it is stark. Intelligent, crafted, darkly humorous and formerly inventive.
Plus poets from the floor welcome. Please bring a copy of the poem if you wish to be considered for the new anthology in aid of the Cold Weather shelter.
