Greg Delanty was born in Cork in 1958, and now lives for most of the year in America, where he teaches at St Michael's College in Vermont. His Collected Poems out from Carcanet in 2006. Earlier books include The Ship of Birth (2003) and - from Oxford Poets - The Hellbox (1998). He received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2008. Emma Jones' first collection, The Striped World, has just been published by Faber. She was born in 1977 in Sydney, Australia. She has studied in Britain and has a PhD in English from Cambridge University.

Jacob Polley was born in Carlisle, in 1975. His first collection, The Brink, was published 2003. It was a Poetry Book Society Choice and was shortlisted for several awards. His second, Little Gods, appeared in 2006. He was selected as one of the 'Next Generation' poets in 2004.

Eva Salzman was born in New York, and moved to the UK in 1985. Her poems have appeared in the Guardian, Independent, New Yorker, and the TLS. Her latest collection Double Crossing: New and Selected Poems came out from Bloodaxe in 2004 and was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. She has recently edited Women's Work, a major anthology of modern women poets published by Seren.
