Holy Moly is Gravesend's top poetry and spoken work open mic. Held on the third Sunday of each month, we welcome novices and experienced performers alike in the intimate backroom of a fine micropub. Attendance is free and wherever possible we try to secure top local talent.

Gravesend's top poetry open mic Holy Moly is back with an outstanding headliner, Sven Stears. Sven is an international slam champion and is currently planning a poetry tour of Germany. His first book, "This Is Your Tragic Back Story" (Whisky and Beards), has drawn praise from the likes of Joelle Taylor, and his last E.P. received praise from Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 Music. His work deals with the heaviest of themes with brutal honesty, but never without kindness and humour.
Sven's two E.P.s are on Spotify, and you can check out his latest video, "Lockpicks", on YouTube. Sven's book is available from the Whisky and Beards website.
Sven will be rounding the evening off, but as ever we will start with an open mic section for any and all comers.
