Open Mic Event

A monthly open mic, poetry & spoken word open mic event with a little music and a featured poet. New and used Spokers of Words always very welcome. And we especially love audiences too!

Each month we have an excellent feature poet
There's *free* tea/coffee and the occasional biscuit.
Plus a bar & raffle.
Poetry books may be on offer.

Our March Feature Poet was to be Emily Rose Galvin.
Emily Rose, the first female Staffordshire Poet Laureate, co-founder of Spoken Word night WordCraft and current Poet in Residence for Lichfield Library, performs regularly across the UK, and last year became one of the National Trust's commissioned poets for the 2019 People's Landscapes Project.
With a raw and emotive style, she focuses on intimate experience to tackle subjects such as mental health, personal growth and the complications of human relationships.
Her latest poetry pamphlet, “The Dew Point” is available for less than the price of a Costa Latte. Get in contact to support those who rely on gigs and book sales to make a living.
