'Essex Girl: a young working-class woman from the Essex area, typically considered as being unintelligent, materialistic, devoid of taste and sexually promiscuous' - Collins English Dictionary.
Through the eyes of Kirsty, a 16-year-old girl growing up in 00s Brentwood, Maria Ferguson (Fat Girls Don’t Dance) explores the dictionary definition of the term. Expect fake tan, UK Garage and copious amounts of WKD.
The Last Word returns to the Roundhouse for two weeks and a half-week of bold performances from established and emerging spoken word artists.
