X-Rated: Women Speaking

This event on 25th May 2018 at 19:00 has past.

Open Mic Event

It has been 100 years since (some) women were given the right to vote. But after the #metoo revelations, how far have we really come?

Around the world millions of women are still without a voice. Feminist voices are accused of censorship whilst bigots hide behind freedom of speech.

It's quite powerful to remember and reflect on what it actually means to be free to speak/vote. So we are inviting women and non-binary poets and performers to let their voices be heard through spoken word.

If you would like to perform at this night of poetry and performance, please contact Zoey Dixon at zcdixon@lambeth.gov.uk to add your name!
