The Speakeasy hosts open-mic night along with special Guest Mancunian poet Mike Garry. Mike will be treating us to a full set after the stage has been warmed up by you lovely lot on our open-mic. Tickets are £12.50 all open-mic performers get a fiver back on the evening

This opportunity pays £75 and is open to ANY writer, poet, creative or comedian with a connection to Chester. Not only will it give the many performers and writers of Chester a chance to get paid to share their work, it means you would be the support act for Mike Garry. If you think you have what it takes and are available on Friday 13th of October to support Mike Garry then please send a five-minute video clip of you in action to thespeakeasychester@gmail.com. Entries must include a brief bit about yourself: what you do, how you are connected to Chester, and why you are the person to fill our introducing spot. Competition closes on the 30th September at 12 noon.
