This is a writers workshop, which meets on a once a month basis, but frequently is supplemented, as on this occasion, by a published writer, giving a talk about writing and anything else relevant to writing, such as editing and publishing, and reading their work, followed by a Q&A session.
On this occasion the visiting writer is the poet Peter Knaggs, from Hull, who will be talking about his experience as a poet, editor, workshop leader, and writer working in the community.
His poetry collections are Cowboy Hat (2001) and Your So Vain You Probably Think This Book Is About You (Wrecking Ball Press, 2015), and he put together and edited The Hull Connection, an anthology of Hull Poetry, in 2011.
After Peter has given his talk, read some of his poems and answered questions from those present, expected to last at least an hour, the event will become a writers workshop, at which participants are invited to read a piece of work, which could be anything passing as literature, this work not to exceed 2,000 words or four sides of A4. It is suggested that would-be participants should make 5 or 6 copies of their work, so that it can be seen as well as heard by other participants. The workshop will end no later than 20.30.

Price: £2.00. (£2 (waged), otherwise £1)
