Childhood and adulthood have both been equally extensively explored in poetry; but one of the most interesting moments in our life is when we’re moving from one into the other – our bodies, our minds, our sense of self still forming themselves, unsure of what we might become, in the same way the first line of a poem has little idea what direction it might end up taking. Through writing exercises and example poems, we’ll explore some of these ideas.
A one-day workshop running 10:30 – 16:30 on Saturday 5 November.
