A workshop to explore the history of Liverpool
through spoken word, poetry and music
Workshop leaders Kevin McMahon and Clare Madeley
This workshop is designed to work towards a multimedia spoken word public performance of poetry music and image.
What to expect: Vocal warm ups; How to give colour and gravitas in spoken word performance; How to project with presence; Working with musical accompaniment.
This workshop is suitable for singers, musicians and spoken word performers of all abilities who would like to experiment and improvise around an existing text and musical composition. For those wishing to go on to a live performance on the 10th July 2015 at the Festival of Firsts, 'Kaleidscope', further rehearsals would be organised after the workshop.
