Joanne Ashcroft’s poetry explores how sound aspects of language are intrinsic in poetic compositional processes and how this shapes the resultant poem. As part of her current research she is making excursions in writing poetry which explore possibilities for polyphony and rhythms of identities. Joanne has poetry and reviews published in various magazines and journals and has presented papers on her work at conferences. She was the winner of the Poetry Wales Purple Moose Prize 2012 and her pamphlet Maps and Love Songs for Mina Loy, which evolved from responses to sounds in Mina Loy’s work, is available from Seren. She is a member of the Poetry and Poetics Research Group at Edge Hill. Joanne was joint winner of the inaugural Rhiannon Evans Poetry Scholarship 2010. From Parts Becoming Whole (2011) is published by The Knives Forks Spoons Press. She currently teaches undergraduate poetry and fiction modules at Edge Hill University.

Lila Matsumoto was born in Tokyo and was based in Florida and New York before arriving in the UK in 2007. She edits the little magazine SCREE (http://screemagazine.wordpress.com) and runs a poetry and music performances series under its banner. Her work has been featured in places such as Jacket, anything anymore anywhere, and Archive of the Now; she has also performed at events such as SoundEye Festival of the Arts of the Word and Camradefest II. Lila is especially interested in interdisciplinary collaborative work and has recently performed with visual artists such as Mairi Lafferty (http://mairilafferty.com/), Rocio von Jugenfeld (http://www.rociojungenfeld.eu/), and Richard Taylor (http://www.rich-taylor.co.uk/). Her first collection of poetry is due out from Sad Press in spring of 2015.

Poet, collaborator, and artist, E.J. McAdams is the author of the chapbooks TRANSECTs and 4x4. His work has been published in The Volta, eccolinguistics, About Place Journal, Critical Correspondence, and The Paris Review. His visual work has been shown at Exit Art and Phoenix Art Museum, and is being exhibited at The Bronx Museum of the Arts in September 2015. As a 2014 iLAB resident, he collaborated with Douglas Manson and Virginia Millington on Wayfaring: A Poetic Walk Through Public Space. From 2008-2012, he curated the Social Environmental Aesthetics Poetry Series at Exit Art that brought together poets, artists, scholars and activists for shared readings and panels. He lives in New York City.
