Shoestring Press and Manchester Libraries presents:
An Evening of Poetry
to celebrate the release of DRAWNDARK, the new collection of poems by Manchester poet Tony Roberts.
Alternating with warm, personal poems of love and friendship, this fourth collection from Tony Roberts portrays a gallery of writers, artists and composers from seventeenth century Holland to 1950s Harlem.
Tony Roberts has been described as an authentic adult voice, tender, ironic and relaxed. His work has recently been featured in the Guardian weekend supplement.
Tony will also be accompanied by fellow poets John Lucas and Jim Burns for an evening celebrating poetry.
Thursday 16th October 2014. 6.00-7.30pm.
