A remarkable spoken word memoir and chronicle of our times.’

Penny Pepper presents
LOST IN SPACES
Soho Theatre | Monday 8th September | 7pm

“Almost nine and counting up the stars…”

Award winning writer, poet, performer and rights activist, Penny Pepper presents her highly anticipated, unique one-woman show. Lost in Spaces interweaves the personal and the universal, drawing on long-kept journals mixed with poetry, spoken word and music. At times a painful journey, the wit, grit and gallows humour are never far away in Penny’s work

Join Penny on her tumultuous, life long quest to carve out her own unique space in our contrary world. Labels are subverted, barriers are broken. Spaces are redefined. Friends and lovers found – and lost. From the haunting Hymn to Daddy, to the raging sarcasm of Handbagged - and a very personal invite to Cripplegate Town, her work provides a remarkable chronicle of our times.

Press / Reviews on Penny Pepper:

“A perfect piece of domestic existentialism…beautifully delivered and written.”
Today She Killed 50 – Judge, Story Slam Live, October 2012, Southbank, London

“This is a revolutionary work that will at once turn you on, change your thinking, make you laugh, cry, and most of all realise that this kind of writing is so long overdue its almost criminal.” - Desires Reborn Mat Fraser, Observer Ethical Award 2014, winner

“Pepper’s work is a visceral and three-dimensional experience. Listening to her prose is not just a pleasure, it’s an education. Every one of her pieces is as fresh and original as her first. This is good, honest, credible writing’ Rob Young, (Crush, The Old Man and the Sea)
