Tongue Fu goes all ‘Saturday night’ with a fiery bill of top spoken word fiends, improvised music from The Tongue Fu Band (Nostalgia 77, Puppini Sisters) and films from CR&D.

Hosted by

Chris Redmond (Scroobius Pip’s Beatdown - XFM, Bespoken Word BBC R4)

and featuring

Anthony Joseph

Like the Trinidadian love child of Fela Kuti and Gil Scott Heron. Acclaimed poet, novelist and front man of the afro-funky Spasm Band with a brand new solo album ‘Time’ produced by legendary Meshell Ndegeocello.
“Lovely, lyrical joy…classy work” The Guardian

Sally Jenkinson

Northern love/loss/laughter poems that sound like they should be written in empty chip paper and thrown at you from the top of the night bus. Published by super-hip Burning Eye she's a festival favourite (Glastonbury, Secret Garden, Womad) and international touring wonderbrain.

“Sally's poems are like Strongbow for the soul” - Holly Blackwell, The Lovely Eggs.

Rex Domino

Brilliant young buck straddling the worlds of hip-hop, song-writing and spoken word with new single ‘Surrounding’ out now. Like a Terry Hall for 2014.

Plus special guest Ronak Patani joint winner of the 2013 Roundhouse Poetry Slam
