Valentine’s Day is traditionally a time for heartfelt sentiment and loving feelings – best expressed through beautiful poetry. The Anti-Slam turns that on its head for an Anti-Valentine’s Day special!
In a normal poetry slam, the best poet wins. At The Anti-Slam, the worst poet wins! We’ve challenged the UK’s best poets to be hilariously terrible. Laugh-out-loud embarrassing. Entertainingly cringe worthy. Poetry so bad it transcends quality, becoming genius – all given an Anti-Valentine’s twist.
The Anti-Slam Anti-Valentine’s Day show features top spoken word performers battling to be the worst with riotously abysmal love poems. Come see poets like Mark Grist, 7-million viewed YouTube rap-battle superstar; BBC Slam Champion Sophia Walker; National Theatre writer and 10 Downing Street performing Bridget Minamore; and more!
At The Anti-Slam, the poet with the lowest score wins! (Don’t) bring a date.
