A special celebration of Dylan Thomas, as part of the Dylan Thomas 100 Festival, in this centenary year.

Follow Thomas from Swansea to London and New York in an event which celebrates the life and work of Wales‘ greatest poet.

Classics like Do not go gentle into that good night and Under Milk Wood sit alongside fresh revivals of less tamiliar but equally compelling works as we explore the myriad voices of this unique figure in Modern literature.

Owen Sheers is a Welsh poet, author and scriptwriter. He has published two poetry collections, The Blue Book and Skirrid Hill which won a Somerset Maugham Award. His debut prose work The Dust Diaries, Book of the Year 2005. Owen’s first novel, Resistance has been translated into ten languages.

Gwyneth Lewis was National Poet of Wales 2005-O6. Her last book, Sparrow Tree, won the Roland Mathias Poetry Award. In 2010 she was awarded a Society of Authors Cholmondeley Award. Her two memoirs are Sunbathing in the Rain and Two in a Boat.

Andrew Lycett is an English biographer and journalist. He has written a number of well-received biographies, including Ian Fleming: The Man Behind James Bond and Dylan Thomas: A New Life (Phoenix 2004). He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2009.

The Dylan Thomas 100 festival is a vast array of events, performances and activities across the world over the next 12 months to celebrate the centenary of Wales’ best-known poet, and one of the most prominent cultural figures of the 20th century.

The programme covers a range of an forms from concert and theatre peformances to visual arts, comedy, television, film and exhibitions — all highlighting the significant impact Thomas continues to have on the world of literature and beyond. dylanthomas100.org @dylanthomas_100
