Blood Donors, Steve Tasane's debut novel for young people, has just been published by Walker Books. A tale of tower blocks, bad drugs and bedbugs, it's as gritty and urban as they come. So where better to launch it than gritty, urban Bethnal Green?
Steve's also a well-known performance-poet – an elder statesman of the hard-knocks school of verse – and he'll be joined tonight by some of the fastest-rising names from the London open-mic scene.
